Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, has already hit the mark of its 120-crore budget within the extended opening weekend. Despite experiencing a significant drop in advance booking collections on the sixth day, the movie remains a strong performer at the Indian box office.
As of now, Dunki has grossed around 128.63 crores*. Released on December 21, 2023, the film faced off against Prabhas & Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which debuted on December 22, 2023.
Despite the competition, Dunki has held its ground, maintaining a solid presence at the box office, while Animal also continues to draw viewers despite its limited screen count.

Despite a strong start during its first extended weekend, the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film, Dunki, faced higher expectations for the Christmas box office. As it transitions into the regular weekdays, the movie is now undergoing its real litmus test.
The latest reports indicate that on day 6, Dunki’s advance booking earned around 2.60 crores gross (excluding blocked seats), marking a significant 68% decline from the previous day’s earnings of 8.29 crores gross. However, this comparison must consider that yesterday’s numbers were influenced by partial holiday celebrations due to Christmas festivities nationwide.
The film has sold over 1.18 lakhs+ tickets so far. While in a standard scenario, this drop might have raised concerns, Dunki, with its budget of 120 crores, has showcased resilience in its performance.

The film led by Shah Rukh Khan has already regained its investment in box office earnings. Now, its goal is to achieve profits, making any further income a welcomed addition.
