Objective
of RTE Gujarat Admission
The
primary objective of the RTE Gujarat admission program is to ensure every child
in the state has access to education as per the Right to Education Act. Private
schools are mandated to allocate a dedicated quota for economically
disadvantaged students, allowing children from all financial backgrounds to
receive an education. This scheme raises literacy levels within economically
weaker sections, enhancing their quality of life and fostering self-reliance
among students.

To be
eligible for admission under RTE Gujarat, candidates must adhere to the
following criteria:
Age:
Children must be born between June 2, 2014, and June 1, 2015.
Annual
Household Income:
For ST/SC
applicants, the maximum allowed annual household income is Rs. 2 lakh.
For OBC
applicants, the maximum allowed annual household income is Rs. 1 lakh.
For
General category applicants, the maximum allowed annual household income is Rs.
68,000.
