RTE Gujarat Admission 2023-24

In Gujarat, a dedicated cell for Right to Information has been established to ensure fair access to essential educational services for children facing financial constraints in paying their school fees.

This Sarkari Yojana 2023 covers nearly all schools across various districts in Gujarat. Students eligible for the Right to Information quota can fill out the RTE admission form and submit the application to their respective schools, enabling them to benefit from reduced fees and other financial incentives supporting their education.

Objective of RTE Gujarat Admission

 

The primary objective of the RTE Gujarat admission program is to ensure every child in the state has access to education as per the Right to Education Act. Private schools are mandated to allocate a dedicated quota for economically disadvantaged students, allowing children from all financial backgrounds to receive an education. This scheme raises literacy levels within economically weaker sections, enhancing their quality of life and fostering self-reliance among students.

 

RTE Gujarat Admission Eligibility Criteria

 

To be eligible for admission under RTE Gujarat, candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

 

Age: Children must be born between June 2, 2014, and June 1, 2015.

Annual Household Income:

For ST/SC applicants, the maximum allowed annual household income is Rs. 2 lakh.

For OBC applicants, the maximum allowed annual household income is Rs. 1 lakh.

For General category applicants, the maximum allowed annual household income is Rs. 68,000.

Required Documents for Gujarat RTE Admission 2023-24

 

Residence Proof: Aadhar card/passport/electricity bill/water bill/election card/driving license/ration card

Guardianship Certificate: Certificate of Mamlatdar Shri or Social Welfare Officer, Taluka Development Officer, or Competent Authority

Birth Certificate: Gram Panchayat / Nagar Palika, Municipal Corporation, Birth

Photograph: Passport-size photograph

Guardian’s Voice Certificate: In the case of old age income, the certificate of Mamlatdar, Taluka Development Officer, or competent authority will be valid.

BPL: Guardians falling within the BPL category with marks ranging from 1 to 8 need to submit a reference from the Taluka Development Officer

Scheduled Tribes: A certificate from Mamlatdar Shri or Social Welfare Officer, Taluka Development Officer

Orphaned Child: A certificate issued by the District's Child Welfare Committee

Child in Need of Care: A certificate issued by the District's Child Welfare Committee

Kindergarten Children: Certificate of the District’s Child Welfare Committee

Child Labor/Migrant Labor: A certificate issued by the District's Child Welfare Committee (CWC)

Children with Cerebral Palsy: Civil Surgeon Certificate

Children with Special Needs: Civil Surgeon’s Certificate (minimum 40%)

HIV Infected Child: Civil Surgeon Certificate

Children of Martyred: A reference from the competent authority overseeing the respective account

Baby Support Card: A copy of the child’s Aadhar card

Guardian’s Support Card: A copy of the guardian’s Aadhar card

Bank Details: Photocopy of the passbook for the child or guardian's bank account
